Hey I don’t usually slide into DMs like this but, you’ve won the Pedestrian Television Music Video OTY for ‘The Big Reveal; Ou L’Hypocrite’. How’s it feel?

No worries! Yeah pretty epic! Had such a mad team on that one.

The vid is cheeky and fun, but also pays homage to a lot of different things. What’s some of the inspo behind it?

We wanted it to show what was in our heads when we were writing the song.

I reckon we achieved it.

It’s pretty weird.

And at some point your idea of weiiiird involved Louis walking around a stage strangling himself with a mic lead with sad clowns at an RSL?

Nah, that’s just Louis being Louis tbh.

I always knew it.

Unscripted.

Hahahaha.

A lot of our music vids have been a super small crew… just us and Jack Shepherd who has shot most of them. This time we decided to go with a director and full team.

We love Kyle. In Kyle we trust.

There seems to be a bunch of references hidden in the vid. I’d love to know who the big fan of 17th century French playwrights is?

Haha the Molière reference.

What wankers we are.

Are there any other Easter eggs you included and are particularly proud of?

Yeah we lay quite a few eggs.

Some go unnoticed even.

While we’re on references, there was one I feel would be criminal of me not to ask, so if you’ll excuse me:

I was gonna tell you but now you’re being rude.

Maybe that egg will crack at some point.

Now you met with the PM yesterday! What was that about? What did (arguably) Australia’s most powerful person have to say to Anthony Albanese?

Haha classic.

I hear flattery helps eggs crack.

This is our second meeting with Albo. The first was to highlight the need for more funding in the music biz.

And it was a big success.

Kings! Can’t wait to hear more about future funding to the arts!

This time round we came from a climate change point of view.
